Change default Window desktop wallpaper
As many of us have already known that we can change the Window default wallpaper to any images that we want, for example you want your family photo to appear as your desktop wallpaper:
Just in case any of you might have not known yet, here's how to do it:
1. Open the folder where you keep the photo you want to use
2. Point your cursor on the image file that you want to use and right-click on it
3. Choose : Set as Desktop Background
4. Wallaaa... your wallpaper is now changed to the image/photo that you have chosen!

Create your own customized desktop wallpaper
Apart from using any photos that you have already had, you might want to create your own customized wallpaper image.
I prefer to create my own wallpaper image because sometimes if I use just any photo, the icons and folders on the wallpaper would disturb the view of the image... Its kind of untidy.
So I would create my wallpaper image which the object on the image are placed on the right side so it is not disturbed by the desktop's icons and folders.
Yes... this one would look much better. : )
Collage desktop wallpaper
Your desktop wallpaper can be more interesting if you make it a 'collage' out of a series of pictures. Below is a collage wallpaper that I had created for my brother using a few pictures of his son.

How to create a wallpaper with Photoshop
Actually there are tons of FREE wallpaper on the internet that you can download and use. But, here I am sharing on how I create my wallpaper using Photoshop. There's nothing special that I'd like to share, just if you have the graphic editing software, you too can create your own wallpaper based on YOUR own like, and here is the basic things that you would want to know...
First thing first : You must know the size of your window display right now. To get the information of the size of your window display, just right click anywhere on your desktop and click 'Personalize'
Then, click on the 'Display Setting'
On the 'Display Setting' window, you will be able to see the size of your window display.
My window display is 1280 x 800 pixels.
Second Part : Now, when you know the size of your window display, you will have to create a wallpaper just as the same size.
Run your Photoshop program and create a new file and enter the size of the file : 1280 width and 800 height. The resolution of the file : you can use the default resolution - 72 pixels.
Third Part : Open your pictures or photographs that you want to use and arrange them according to what you want your wallpaper turn out to be like by dragging the photo images into the file that you have just created.
Here, you may want to crop or re-size the images, adjust the brightness and contrast of your images, or add some graphic effects.
After you have done and satisfied with your wallpaper, save it in the JPEG or JPG format in any folder that you like. To have the wallpaper as your desktop wallpaper now, just look back in the folder that you have just kept the JPEG/JPG image - right click on the image and click 'Set as Desktop Background'... That's all!! Very easy!!!
